Getting Around the MyIBFS Home Page

Logging In
MyIBFS requires that you login using an FRN and Password. The FRN and password are validated against CORES. To Login, perform the following steps:

1. Register a valid FRN and password in MyIBFS.
2. Enter a registered FRN/User Name in the field provided. The FRN must be 10 numeric characters.
3. Enter a password in the field provided - passwords are case sensitive and must be a minimum of six characters and a maximum of 15 characters.
4. Click on Submit to complete your login.

If you are using MyIBFS as a research tool, you do not need to login to your account; you can perform searches from the home page.

This section provides step-by-step instructions to establish a New MyIBFS Account.

Creating A New MyIBFS Account
This allows you to register your FRN and password within MyIBFS in order to create a new MyIBFS account. Registration is required only once.

To create a new MyIBFS account, perform the following:

1. Enter your FRN and Password that you will be using with your IBFS account in the fields provided.

2. Enter your email address.

3. Click on Confirm FRN. The FRN and password are validated against CORES. Your account information is displayed beneath the FRN/Password fields.

4. The text "Is this Information Correct? Yes or No" is displayed. If the information is correct, select Yes and click on Confirm FRN. If the information is incorrect, repeat #1 and/or 2 above, until the information is correct.

Create FRN
Allows you to create an FRN in CORES.

Convert Old IBFS Account
Allows you to associate your old IBFS Account ID with an FRN. Conversion is required only once. This allows you to access filings in your old IBFS account from your new MyIBFS account. The following information is required: FRN, FRN Password, IBFS Account ID and IBFS Account Password. You can associate multiple IBFS Account IDs to 1 FRN sequentially (one account at a time). An IBFS Account ID cannot be linked to more than 1 FRN.

Selecting this option advances you to the Convert MyIBFS Account screen. To convert an old IBFS account, perform the following steps:

1. Enter the destination FRN and Password in the fields provided.

2. Enter the old IBFS Account ID and Password in the fields provided.

3. Click on Link. Upon successful validation of all the information entered, IBFS shall create a link between the FRN and the old IBFS account(s).

4. Click on Finished to return to the MyIBFS Home Page.

Forgot Password
Allows you to request the reset of your FRN password in CORES.

Alerts
This section displays information about the status of other FCC systems that would be relevant to a filing.  A checkmark indicates the system is operational; an “X” indicates that system is down.  Clicking on the system name moves you to the FCC Electronic Filing & Public Access System page, where additional information about the systems’ status is available.

What's New
Contains details of any new events /initiatives in the International Bureau.

Recent Licensing PNs
Recent Licensing PNs display the Date, Report No, and Description of all Public Notices related to authorization applications filed with the International Bureau. You can click on the Report No for the selected license to display the associated PN.
